Nearly four years of building for the web, and one conviction behind all of it: stay with a problem until the answer is simple, then build it so it doesn’t need rescuing.

Patience

The first idea is rarely the right one. I dig past the obvious answer and keep refining until what's left can't be reduced further. That's usually where the good work starts.

Craft

Every detail is a decision someone will feel: the weight of a line, the pause before a transition. I build one thing properly rather than five things approximately.

Endurance

Shipping is the beginning. I build so the thing keeps running long after launch: clean, documented, and easy for the next person to pick up.
